Poor mental health can also have an enormous impact upon our ability to sleep. When sleep patterns become disrupted the body’s natural rhythms of rest and repair become impaired. This can lead to irritability, an inability to concentrate, lethargy, and overtime an unhealthy cycle can develop where we temporarily lose our ability to relax and unwind at bed-time, sleep restfully and awake refreshed in the morning.
